The DTX-PRO is a next-generation sound module that takes sound quality, functionality, and usability to new heights. The KIT MODIFIER feature allows you to instantly create your sound just by turning the three KIT MODIFIER knobs - AMBIENCE, COMPRESSION, and EFFECT. These alter the effects and ambience of the sounds, which were sampled in some of the most noted studios in the world. The MODIFIER knobs are a great stimulus to creativity, giving drummers the freedom to create their own signature sounds. The DTX-PRO module brings more realism, more enjoyment, more fun, and more freedom to your music than ever before.

Newly added 30 preset kits, including Yamaha's signature Recording Custom kit. The powerful, iconic, clear sound of the Recording Custom have been recorded in their entirety with the help of a renowned engineer. Tuning and adjustments have been kept to a minimum so that the original sound of the drum kit can be enjoyed.

Even more immersive performance experience
By using the Effect knob, it is now posible to adjust some kit sounds further. Such modifications include altering the resonant sounds of the drums and snare wires. This allows the performer to experience a further improved sense of presence and sound.

Function
From delicate to powerful performance
Several software improvements have been made to achieve a more realistic performace feel. The software was been carefully calibrated to ensure that the sound follows the player's intention, from delicate to powerful performances. In addition, the velocity curve when the pad is struck can now be set more precisely, and the natural variation of the sound when the same pad is struck repeatedly has been improved. A setting that raises the pitch when the hi-hat pedal is depressed deeply can now be selected.

Connection
By connecting the DTX-PRO module to a compatible DTX module via USB cable, now you can use the DTX-PRO as a host module (USB Trigger Link function). In other words, if you have a compatible kit, you can enjoy the DTX-PRO sound with your electronic drum kit by adding the DTX-PRO and USB cable.
