The inspiration for the 2024 Limited Edition is the year itself, as 2024 represents a leap year, the once-every-four-year calibration of our human calendar with the solar system. All 8 planets of our solar system are depicted on the fingerboard with our Earth and its unique orbit path around the sun particularly illustrated. The sun itself is stylistically portrayed on the 12th fret, and its life-giving light, the power source of our solar system, represented by way of pale hues projected across the upper bout and lower headstock of the guitar. The bracing and tone bars of this Takamine NEX cutaway are individually selected and tuned by our master craftsman. The black carbon saddle has been chosen so as not to spoil the original texture of the overall cosmic image, but also for its unique ability to transfer sound as effectively as a top-quality bone saddle. To ensure that the warm and balanced tones of this finely tuned instrument are faithfully projected on stage, the recently released CTF-2N preamp, a celebrated throwback to the FET technology of the renown Brownie preamp was chosen. This warm and natural sounding CTF-2N preamp in tandem with our famed Palathetic pickup makes the LTD 2024 perhaps one of the most stage-ready Takamines ever designed.
