The technical centre of the Areal 653 5.1-channel surround system is the active subwoofer, which directs and drives the five satellite speakers. The side-firing bassreflex subwoofer creates a round, room-filling overall sound with 5 x 15 watt + 70 watt RMS power in combination with the satellite speakers. Via the front-mounted USB port, the surround system communicates with a USB stick and MP3 player, while the SD slot can be used to integrate memory cards with MP3 tracks. The Bluetooth interface allows wireless streaming of music via smartphone, tablet or laptop. Via the AUX input, audio components of all kinds - computer, CD player - can be connected to the Auna Areal 653. The 5.1 input jack takes the surround sound from DVD players and Blu-ray players. The speaker linkage is cable-connected, and thanks to the connection diagram on the main unit and in the user manual, is simple to connect. Menus and sound settings may be adjusted using the included remote control.
