The PRS SE NF 53 electric guitar comes from the more affordable SE series and offers a modern single-cut design combined with a classic tone that will appeal to players of country, pop, classic rock, jazz, and many other genres.

The body is made from swamp ash, while the bolt-on maple neck features a slightly narrower nut width than the usual PRS standard, enhancing playability. The maple fingerboard includes PRS’s signature bird inlays to help with navigation during play.

Sound is delivered by a pair of PRS Narrowfield DD “S” (Deep Dish) humbuckers, which are similar in size to single-coil pickups. They provide a clean, articulate tone with well-defined lows and a distinct “twang” reminiscent of T-style guitars—all without the unwanted hum. The Deep Dish version differs from standard Narrowfield pickups by using longer coils and more winding, resulting in a thicker, punchier sound.

Strings pass over a bone nut to lightweight PRS tuning machines with “wing” buttons, and then to a steel PRS plate-style bridge with brass saddles. This hardware setup enhances the instrument’s resonance and sustain.
