It is formulated to be extremely easy to carve, extending the block printing experience to a wider range of potential users including younger and less experienced artists. SoftCut can be drawn upon directly with a soft pencil due to its creamy white surface, holds a fine line and gives a consistent, sharp print. With a little care SoftCut can also be used in a printing press.
