Zuzana Růžičková LP-skivor och CD-skivor
Zuzana Růžičková (1927–2017) was a renowned Czech harpsichordist celebrated for her interpretations of classical and baroque music. She was the first to record the complete keyboard works of Johann Sebastian Bach, a landmark achievement in the 1960s and 1970s. A survivor of Nazi concentration camps during her youth, Růžičková overcame immense adversity to enjoy an international performing and recording career that spanned five decades. Refusing to join the Czechoslovak Communist Party, she and her husband, composer Viktor Kalabis, faced political repression. Růžičková also made a lasting impact as a teacher, influencing a generation of leading musicians.
