The Lumineers are an American alternative folk band formed by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites, originally from Ramsey, New Jersey, and now based in Denver, Colorado. Known for their anthemic folk-rock sound and energetic live performances, they rose to international fame in the 2010s with hit singles like Ho Hey, Stubborn Love, Ophelia, Angela, and Cleopatra. The band became a leading force in the modern folk-rock and Americana revival and has built a strong global following. Their discography includes five albums released through the independent label Dualtone Records, with additional releases through Dine Alone in Canada and Decca Universal worldwide. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2012, reached number two on the US Billboard 200 and went triple platinum in the United States and Canada. Their second album, Cleopatra, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in 2016 and is certified platinum in the US. Subsequent albums include III in 2019, Brightside in 2022, and Automatic in 2025. The Lumineers are recognized as one of the top touring bands in the US and continue to enjoy success around the world.
