The Oktava MK-105 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern.
It features a transformerless circuit similar to the renowned MK-102 and a large 27.5 mm capsule with precision-drilled backplate holes. The design of the microphone gives it a sparkling top end sound free from harsh sibilance noise found in many modern mics, which makes it a perfect choice for recording pop and jazz vocals. The slight +4dB boost from 4 kHz to 12 kHz gives it a touch of presence and air providing the microphone with a modern “Hi-Fi” sound, while retaining a natural bottom end. Oktava MK-105 has the ability to shape a vocal to a size that fits nicely into a mix without dominating or sounding too thin.
