Linseed oil. High‑quality, gently bleached and degummed linseed oil serves as a traditional painting medium and binder for oil painting. It improves the spreadability, flow, and adhesion of oil colours while also enhancing their durability.

Due to its naturally slightly yellowish tint, it is not recommended for use in mixtures containing pure white or very light colours. It contains no siccatives, so it dries slowly — a benefit for artists who need extended working time with wet paint.
