Fender American Professional Jazzmaster RW Black Elektriska gitarrer

Fender American Professional Jazzmaster — Modern Appointments on a Classic Offset

The Fender American Professional Jazzmaster RW Black takes the familiar sparkle and chime of a pair of V-Mod III Jazzmaster single coils and gives players more ways to shape them. Built around an offset Alder body finished in Black with a 4-ply Tortoiseshell pickguard, this right-handed 6-string sits in Fender's American-made Professional tier. With the slide switch in the down position, the lead circuit gives Master Volume, Master Tone and a 3-position pickup toggle. Flip the switch up and both pickups run in series through the rhythm circuit for a thicker, higher-output sound, with separate thumbwheel volume and tone controls. That makes it easy to move from clearer Jazzmaster tones into something denser without swapping guitars or reaching for a pedal.

What Sets This Jazzmaster Apart

Two design touches give this model a clear edge over vintage-spec Jazzmasters. The push-push tone control taps the bridge pickup from its stronger, throatier voice into a lower-output vintage-style sound, adding another useful texture without changing the basic control layout. The Panorama Jazzmaster Tremolo with pop-in arm covers everything from subtle warble to deeper dives, paired with a ClassicGear J-Bridge for stable intonation.

Alder Body and Polyurethane Finish — Built for the Stage

Alder is the long-standing Fender tonewood for offset models, prized for its balanced midrange and clear top-end response. The Polyurethane finish protects the wood through years of touring, studio sessions and everyday handling.

• Body Material: Alder — balanced, resonant tonewood
• Finish: Polyurethane — durable coating that resists wear from arm contact, belt buckles and case handling on the road
• Pickguard: 4-Ply Tortoiseshell — the classic Jazzmaster visual signature

Deep "C" Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard — Comfortable for Long Sets

Fender's Deep "C" shape fills the hand without feeling bulky, and the "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish on the back keeps the hand moving smoothly during fast runs and big bends. Rolled fingerboard edges remove the sharp feel that vintage-spec necks sometimes have.

• Neck Material: Maple — stable, bright tonal foundation with a clean attack
• Fingerboard Material: Rosewood — warm feel under the fingers
• Scale Length: 648 mm — Fender-standard 25.5" scale for tight low-end and clear note definition across all six strings
• Fingerboard Radius: 241 mm — modern 9.5" radius that handles both chord work and bending
• Frets: 22 Narrow Tall — taller, narrower profile for accurate bending and clean note separation
• Nut Width: 42.8 mm — bone nut for consistent tuning stability

V-Mod III Pickups and Panorama Tremolo — Tonal Range From Clean to Dense

V-Mod III single-coils are voiced to deliver the model's signature chime and are more articulate than ever. From classic Jazzmaster warble to deep, Strat-style dives, the Panorama tremolo with pop-in arm puts the full range of expressive vibrato at your fingertips.

• Pickup Configuration: SS (V-Mod III Jazzmaster single-coils) — neck and bridge pickups tuned for chime and clarity
• Bridge: Panorama Jazzmaster Tremolo with Pop-In Arm and ClassicGear J-Bridge — expressive vibrato with superior intonation and stability
• Machine Heads: Fender Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered — sealed tuning machines that hold pitch through long sets
• Case: Deluxe Moulded Case included — protective hard case

Who Should Play the Fender American Professional Jazzmaster

This Jazzmaster is the right choice for working guitarists who want the offset-body feel and tremolo range of a Jazzmaster with a wider tonal palette than vintage reissues offer. Indie, alternative, surf and jazz players will appreciate the chime of the V-Mod III single-coils, while rock and shoegaze players can lean on the series rhythm circuit for a thicker, humbucker-like voice without changing guitars mid-set. The Deep "C" neck and rolled fingerboard edges suit players who spend long hours on stage or in the studio. Right-handed players looking for a USA-built offset with a Deluxe Moulded Case included will find this model ready for the road from day one.
