Dark Tranquillity is a melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, known as one of the leading pioneers of the city’s influential metal scene alongside acts like In Flames and At the Gates. Featured as central figures in the 2009 documentary Out of Nothing, the group built a legacy over three decades. Following significant lineup changes between 2016 and 2021, vocalist Mikael Stanne remains the only original member, joined by longtime keyboardist Martin Brändström.
