Crowbar is a heavy metal band from New Orleans, Louisiana, founded in 1990 and led by guitarist and singer Kirk Windstein. Known for their unique blend of slow, heavy doom metal with hardcore punk energy, Crowbar helped define the sludge metal sound that emerged from the New Orleans scene. In addition to their original material, Crowbar has put their own stamp on songs by artists like Gary Wright, Iron Maiden, and Led Zeppelin.
