Caravan

Caravan

Caravan is an English rock band formed in 1968 in the Canterbury area by former members of the Wilde Flowers, including David Sinclair, Richard Sinclair, Pye Hastings, and Richard Coughlan. Although widespread commercial success eluded them, Caravan became a central figure in the Canterbury scene, known for a unique blend of progressive rock, psychedelic, jazz, and classical elements. Originally based in Whitstable, they later moved to London, releasing their most acclaimed album, In the Land of Grey and Pink, in 1971. After various lineup changes and periods of inactivity, Caravan has continued to tour and perform into the 21st century, maintaining their status as influential pioneers of progressive rock.
