Architects are a metalcore band from Brighton, England, formed in 2004 by twin brothers Dan and Tom Searle. Known for their blend of aggressive and melodic elements, their early albums were marked by chaotic, technical heaviness inspired by The Dillinger Escape Plan. Over time, the band evolved their sound, exploring more melodic and politically charged themes, especially from their 2012 album Daybreaker onwards. Following the passing of guitarist Tom Searle in 2016, Architects continued under the leadership of drummer Dan Searle, with Sam Carter on vocals, Alex Dean on bass, and Adam Christianson on guitar. They have been signed to Epitaph Records since 2013 and achieved major critical and commercial success, especially with Lost Forever Lost Together in 2014 and their first UK number one album, For Those That Wish to Exist, in 2021. The band remains a driving force in modern metalcore, with their latest album, The Sky the Earth and All Between, released in February 2025.
