Teenage Engineering EP-35 K.O.-AMP 35 Batteridriven PA-anläggning

Portable Amplifier and Bluetooth Speaker for Anywhere You Play

The Teenage Engineering EP-35 K.O.-AMP 35 is a battery-powered multi-channel amplifier and Bluetooth speaker built for musicians who play anywhere. Inside the compact chassis sits a 35 W amplifier driving a 4" woofer paired with a 1" tweeter, delivering a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz and a maximum SPL of 94 dB at one meter. This amplifier is the right choice for mobile musicians who need a single unit that handles guitar, vocals, backing tracks, and Bluetooth streaming without extra gear.

Built-In Effects, Broadcast Mode, and a Camp Light

What separates this unit from typical portable speakers is its dual-bank effects engine: eight guitar presets and eight microphone presets, each with its own amount dial. Auracast broadcast mode lets two or more units pair wirelessly as a single Bluetooth device for true stereo playback. A built-in camp light inside the storage compartment doubles as a battery indicator and reacts to incoming audio in disco mode.

35 W Output and 12 Hours of Battery Life

The amplifier delivers 35 W of output power through a mono 1+1 loudspeaker configuration, enough to fill a small outdoor venue. Power comes from a built-in Lithium-ion battery rated at 20.1 Wh, giving up to 12 hours of play time at moderate volume and recharging in around 2 hours via USB-PD.

• Output Power: 35 W — drives the 4" woofer and 1" tweeter
• Max SPL reaches 94 dB at one meter, enough to fill a small outdoor venue
• Battery: Lithium-ion 20.1 Wh (7.2 V / 2800 mAh) — up to 12 hours of play time at moderate volume
• Charging takes around 2 hours via the dedicated USB-PD port at up to 45 W

Multi-Channel Inputs and USB Audio Interface

Three hardware inputs cover the most common performance sources: a 6.35 mm instrument input with adjustable gain and hi-mode for active pickups, an XLR microphone input with switchable 48 V phantom power, and a 3.5 mm stereo line input. The USB-C port doubles as a class-compliant audio interface with two input and eight output channels for multi-track recording.

• Instrument Input: 6.35 mm mono, 0–18 dB gain, hi-mode
• Microphone input on XLR with switchable 48 V phantom power and 0–54 dB gain range
• Line Input / Output: 3.5 mm stereo, 92 dBA SNR
• USB-C doubles as a class-compliant audio interface — 2 inputs, 8 outputs to a DAW

Bluetooth 5.3, Splash-Resistant Chassis, Compact Footprint

Wireless audio runs on Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio and Auracast, allowing broadcast pairing of multiple units for stereo playback. The chassis measures 229 × 269 × 176 mm and is rated splash resistant against sweat and accidental spills.

• Bluetooth: Version 5.3 with LE Audio and Auracast
• Dimensions of 229 × 269 × 176 mm fit a backpack or shoulder-strap carry
• Construction: Splash-resistant with rubber feet on bottom and sides
• Frequency response spans 50 Hz – 20 kHz (-6 dB)

Buskers, Singer-Songwriters, and Mobile Performers

This unit is the right choice for solo performers who need a single box that handles guitar, vocals, and backing tracks without extra gear. Buskers benefit from the splash-resistant build, 12-hour battery, and the storage compartment that fits a beverage or power bank. Singer-songwriters get a phantom-powered XLR input for condenser microphones and eight vocal effects. Producers can route the unit into a DAW as a multi-channel audio interface, capturing guitar and vocals on isolated tracks.

Part of the EP-Series Ecosystem

Teenage Engineering has built its reputation on playful, design-forward instruments like the OP-1, OP-Z, and Pocket Operator series. This amplifier extends the Swedish company's EP-series ecosystem. The unit integrates with the broader EP family through the EP-plug accessory port, accepting the amptenna radio receiver, the USB-DRIVE two-sided flash player, and the Handy Mic push-to-talk microphone.
