Turntable Scratching Inside the DAW

DropZone is a plug-in from Stagecraft Software for making classic DJ scratch sounds directly in a music production session. Instead of a physical turntable, it offers a virtual turntable whose position and fade can be controlled precisely, so producers can program scratch patterns such as two-click flares or crabs. DropZone is built on the same architecture as Stagecraft's Scratch Track, which gives the scratches a realistic sound.

Your Own Samples and Cue Points

Up to five samples can be loaded at once, and cue points make each scratch hit at exactly the right moment in the audio. A waveform preview shows where in the waveform the scratch is happening, so it is always clear which part of the sample is being played.

Ten Combos in One Preset

DropZone holds ten different combinations of samples, cue points, scratches and fades that can be triggered at the click of a button. All ten combinations can be saved together as a single preset and recalled later, which makes it easy to build scratch routines for hip-hop and other beat-driven tracks.
