Built around a custom three-and-a-half-octave set of flat aluminum disks designed by instrument inventor Bart Hopkin, the library captures a dreamy, ethereal character across a range from C2 to G5. Unlike traditional Asian gongs, the prominent modes are tuned to octave relationships so every pitch reads clearly.

Every gong was hammered at the center for fine tuning, then sampled with up to 8 round robins and 8 velocity layers per note. Two stereo microphone positions — contact mics and a mixed stereo pair — give producers flexibility between intimate and room-filling tones.
