MB TMPC — Hip-Hop Knock Plugin

MB TMPC is a distortion and saturation plugin that recreates the 16-bit converter character of an Akai MPC3000. Built by Make Believe Studios with eight-time Grammy-nominated producer Terrace Martin, it brings the punchy low-end "knock" of 90s and early 2000s Hip-Hop and R&B straight into any DAW. Drop it on drums, bass, or vocals for instant grit and weight without ever leaving the session.

What Makes It Different

Modeled directly on Terrace Martin's personal MPC3000, this plugin carries the exact converter behavior producers have chased for decades. A single drive knob controls how hard the signal hits the modeled front end, while the MH Preset Manager keeps settings portable across Mac and Windows. The UI size is adjustable, and the workflow stays simple enough for beat makers who want results on the first try.

Who It's For

MB TMPC is the right choice for beat makers, Hip-Hop producers, and songwriters who want classic MPC punch without buying vintage hardware. Bedroom producers get a straightforward single-knob design, while mix engineers can drop it on drum busses or vocal channels for quick saturation. The perpetual iLok license includes two activations and works on all supported platforms.
