Engine Audio Arabic Oud Crossgrade (Digital produkt)

Authentic Middle Eastern Strings for Your DAW

The Arabic Oud Crossgrade from Engine Audio brings the warm, expressive character of the traditional oud into any modern DAW. Three different ouds were sampled with Syrian virtuoso Bassam Ayoub, capturing ornaments, runs, and rhythmic strokes that define the instrument's centuries-old voice. The crossgrade license is built for producers who already own the Arabic Percussion Collection, Arabic E-Oud, or Qanun library and want to add the acoustic counterpart to their Eastern instrument palette.

What Makes This Edition Stand Out

39 articulations cover melodic ornaments, fast runs, and percussive accompaniment, with multiple velocity layers and up to 8 round robins keeping repeated notes alive. Integrated microtunings for Bayati, Rast, Saba, and Seka let players perform authentic Maqam phrases without extra tuning tools. Latch and Hold keyswitches make articulation switches intuitive during a performance, and the included MIDI Songs and Loops provide ready-made phrase inspiration for traditional, world, film, and modern productions.

Who This Crossgrade Is For

This crossgrade is the right choice for producers and composers who already own the Arabic Percussion Collection, Arabic E-Oud, or Qanun and want to round out their Middle Eastern instrument library with the acoustic oud. It suits film and TV composers scoring Eastern scenes, world-music producers building traditional arrangements, and pop or electronic artists looking for an instantly recognizable lead sound. Both Full and Lite versions are included, so the Lite instrument works well on lighter live-performance rigs while the Full version delivers the complete articulation set for studio work. Requirements: macOS 11 or Windows 10 or newer, 4 GB RAM (more recommended), and Engine Player 1.6.0 or higher.
