Russian Circles is an instrumental post-metal band from Chicago, Illinois. Founded by childhood friends Mike Sullivan and Dave Turncrantz after their earlier bands ended, the lineup was completed by Brian Cook in 2007. Known for their atmospheric sound and dynamic live performances, the band has earned acclaim through multiple albums and international tours. Their name comes from a hockey drill, reflecting the founders’ roots in St. Louis.
