Yamaha FX370C Black Acoustic-Electric Guitar

Yamaha FX370C Black is a dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar built for players who want one instrument for unplugged practice and amplified performance. A traditional western body with a single cutaway pairs a spruce top with nato back and sides for a balanced, full-voiced tone. Yamaha's SYSTEM58 preamp sends a clean signal to any stage amp or PA.

What Sets this model Apart in Yamaha's F-Series

The SYSTEM58 preamp with a 3-band EQ and dedicated AMF control lets players dial in midrange scoop or boost to fight feedback on stage. The cut-through pickup captures string vibration directly, so the amplified tone stays articulate at higher volumes. A slim neck profile and slightly shorter fretboard make this instrument easier to handle than many dreadnoughts in this tier.

Body Construction and Tonewoods

The dreadnought body is the acoustic engine of the guitar. A spruce top delivers bright, articulate attack, while nato back and sides add warmth and midrange body.

• The top is crafted from spruce, ensuring a bright and articulate attack that projects well during both strumming and flatpicking.
• Back & Sides: Nato — warm midrange character that balances the spruce top's brightness.
• Construction: Layered — built for stability across humidity changes.

Neck Profile and Playability

A comfortable neck is what separates a guitar students keep playing from one that ends up in a closet. The nato neck carries a rosewood fingerboard with a 400 mm radius that sits naturally under the hand. A 634 mm scale length and 43 mm nut width give the player enough string spacing.

• Scale Length: 634 mm — standard dreadnought tension.
• Nut Width: 43 mm — comfortable spacing for chord shapes and fingerstyle, with enough room for single-note lines.
• Fingerboard Material: Rosewood — smooth feel under the fingers with a balanced tonal response.

Onboard Electronics and Hardware

The SYSTEM58 preamp turns the acoustic dreadnought into a performance-ready instrument without external pedals. A LINE OUT jack sends signal to an amp or mixer, while side-mounted controls let the player adjust volume, bass, mid, and treble on the fly. Die-cast chrome tuners hold tuning through long sets.

• Preamp: SYSTEM58 — Yamaha's dedicated acoustic preamp with a 3-band EQ.
• Controls: Volume, Low, High, Mid, AMF — lets the player shape the midrange to fight feedback on stage.
• Tuners: Die-cast chrome (TM-29T) — stable tuning across temperature changes and string bends.

Who Should Play this instrument

The Yamaha FX370C Black is the right choice for developing players and working musicians who need one guitar that covers practice, lessons, and small-stage gigs. Beginners moving up from a starter acoustic get the cutaway access, slim neck profile, and electronics that make performing less intimidating. Singer-songwriters and worship-team players get a dreadnought voice with enough EQ control to sit in a mix.

Yamaha's F-Series Heritage

Yamaha's F-Series has been the gateway acoustic line for new players since the F310 first appeared, and this instrument carries that same focus on quality and tone into the acoustic-electric category.
