In addition, Yamaha's Great Bass recorder plays with a surprisingly effecient balance between air and broad focused sound.

The angle and length of the mouthpipe are adjustable for player comfort.

The wooden peg, supplied with the instrument in two lengths, is removable. The recorder may also played without the peg.
