Combining a compact size with a surprisingly expressive pitch range, the Suzuki Magic Whistle MW-01M is a hands-free melody instrument operated entirely by the mouth and tongue. Available in maroon, it produces a distinctive whistle tone across up to two octaves — all controlled by subtle tongue movement inside the mouth.

Playing Technique

Insert the Magic Whistle into the mouth up to the lip stopper and seal the mouthpiece with the tongue to form a closed air cavity, then blow. Moving the tongue forward raises the pitch, while moving it back lowers it. The range spans approximately one to two octaves, varying between players. It also makes for a distinctive sound effect when used alongside guitars and other instruments.

Washable ABS Construction

The MW-01M is made from ABS resin, measures 62×43×23 mm and weighs 9 g. After use it can be washed with water and dried with a soft cloth. The built-in ring allows a strap or lanyard to be attached for convenient transport.
