Honest opinion, this is one of the best straight out of the box . As a professional guitar player, I’ve been using load boxes and IRs for more than a decade , I still owns Torpedos, Fryette PS2, the famous OxBox , but the simplicity and the sound of the Suhr RL ir , is just amazing. For metal players , bank 2 and 3 rivalise with almost the best Irs from Ownhamer, Bogren, Two Notes and many others. You can feel and hear they’re made by Celestion, so pure and clear sounding. For rock , hard , blues just use bank 1 and bank 4 for cleans and jazz stuff… The fan is fairly low noise when you hit it hard with your amp , but is still there… The most important is that it doesn’t color your amps sound as a reactive load , so you can really trust your IRs , no need to Eq anything. Compared with the OxBox , I may humbly mention that the Ox is much darker, still great sounding, much more tweakeble, but I do prefer the Suhr because no more need to tweak, just play and play again… expensive, yes , but worth the investment.
