Soundiron’s Jazz Vibraphone offers the most expressive and versatile virtual vibraphone library available, capturing the warmth, swing, and subtlety of a masterfully played instrument. Collaborating closely with Pearl USA, we utilized hand-selected frames, custom bars, and signature mallets to record two vibraphones in exquisite detail: a 4-octave Adams Alpha with gold anodized bars and a vintage Musser. This collection delivers the authentic sound and feel that jazz vibraphonists demand, featuring lush resonance, singing sustain, and a full spectrum of tonal colors.

Whether you’re crafting a smoky ballad, comping behind a soloist, or driving an uptempo groove, this 53GB library provides the tools to shape your sound with complete flexibility. You’ll find a variety of mallet choices and microphone positions—hard and soft mallets, open and damped articulations, close and ribbon microphones—allowing you to dial in the perfect tone for your music.

With up to 6 round robin and 9 velocity layers per note, we recorded each bar with precision, placing microphones close to the bars for maximum intimacy and presence. Intuitive controls for layering, shaping, and motor speed enable you to create everything from a clean, straight-ahead jazz combo sound to lush modern textures that blend tradition with innovation.

With both vibraphones, you can select open or damped notes, using close mics or ribbon mics. Additionally, we crafted 20 unique sound-designed elements to complement our Jazz Vibraphone, ranging from warm and textured leads to evolving ethereal pads, along with classic synthesized waveforms to enhance your sound. To inspire creativity, we’ve included a set of 20 sound-designed factory presets.

The Kontakt interface features automation-ready sound-shaping controls, allowing for total creative flexibility. You can adjust swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading, and layering. An adaptable LFO system offers selectable shapes, modulation targets, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing, and fade-in time. You can also apply various lowpass, high-pass, and FX filters with assignable modulation targets.

The interface is completed by a modular FX rack panel, featuring 27 different DSP effect modules that can be assigned in any order across 8 slots. Effects include classic phaser, flanger, delay, distortion, amp and cab simulators, compressors, EQ, rotator, and more. The Reverb effect includes our favorite convolution reverb impulse responses, featuring 99 different environments and an additional 40 custom FX impulses to radically transform your sound.
