Shure KSM44MP Kondensatormikrofoner för studio
Three polar patterns. One extraordinary microphone.
The Shure KSM44MP is the most versatile microphone in the new KSM studio family — a large-diaphragm condenser with three selectable polar patterns, dual-diaphragm gold-layered capsule technology, and an industry-leading self-noise of just 5 dBA in cardioid mode. Whether you are recording a solo vocalist, a grand piano, a string quartet, or a drum kit, the KSM44MP gives you the precision, flexibility, and sonic quality to capture it perfectly.
Three Polar Patterns — Unlimited Flexibility
The KSM44MP offers three switchable polar patterns — Cardioid, Omnidirectional, and Bidirectional (Figure-8) — each opening up different recording possibilities. Cardioid mode focuses on the source in front while rejecting ambient sound. Omnidirectional mode captures the full room ambience equally from all directions, ideal for ensembles, choral recordings, and acoustic spaces worth preserving. Figure-8 mode captures audio from front and rear with strong side rejection, perfect for intimate duet recordings, classical Blumlein pairs, or broadcast interview setups. The dual-diaphragm architecture ensures that each pattern is consistent and predictable across the frequency range, giving engineers confidence during multi-mic sessions.
Record-Low Self-Noise
In cardioid mode, the KSM44MP achieves a self-noise of just 5 dBA — an extraordinary figure that places it among the quietest large-diaphragm condenser microphones ever made. This exceptional noise performance means that the most delicate performances — breathy vocals, fingerpicked acoustic guitar, the air of a concert hall — are captured with total fidelity, free from hiss, grain, or audible noise. Even in omnidirectional or figure-8 modes (7 dBA and 8 dBA respectively), the noise performance remains exceptional.
Refined High-Frequency Detail
The KSM44MP's dual-diaphragm 1" capsule with gold-layered diaphragms delivers a subtle, natural high-frequency lift that enhances vocal air, string overtones, and the shimmer of cymbals — adding presence and detail without harshness. Combined with the multiple filtering options (a three-position low-cut filter and a subsonic filter that removes mechanical rumble below 17 Hz), the KSM44MP gives engineers precise tonal control at the microphone itself, before the signal reaches the console.
Complete Studio-Ready Package
The KSM44MP ships with a proprietary shock mount featuring a silicone suspension system for vibration isolation, a detachable magnetic pop filter, a set of replacement suspension bands, a swivel-mount clamp, a threaded adapter, and a premium zippered carrying case. Everything needed for a professional recording session is included.
Ideal Applications
The KSM44MP is designed for engineers and producers who need maximum flexibility. Use it in cardioid mode for lead vocal tracking, instrument overdubs, or drum overheads. Switch to omnidirectional for ensemble recording, room ambience, and acoustic instrument sessions. Use figure-8 for classical Blumlein stereo pairs, mid-side recording, or face-to-face interview setups. It is equally at home in professional recording studios, broadcast facilities, voiceover booths, and high-end home studios.
