The Rode VideoMic NTG is a broadcast-grade on-camera shotgun microphone for filmmakers, podcasters and content creators. It uses the same revolutionary line tube technology as the NTG5, with acoustic perforations along its length replacing the linear slots found on conventional shotguns, delivering unmatched acoustic transparency and a natural, uncoloured sound.

What Sets This Microphone Apart

A single capsule feeds both an auto-sensing 3.5mm TRS/TRRS output and a digital USB-C output, so the same unit transitions between camera, mobile and computer workflows without adapter cables. A built-in safety channel records a duplicate track at -20 dB on the right channel for instant backup when levels spike unexpectedly.

Acoustic Performance

A pressure gradient electret condenser with a supercardioid polar pattern rejects off-axis sound and isolates the subject in noisy environments.
