The PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT is a compact 8-inch front-firing studio subwoofer that adds the missing low-end foundation to any near-field setup. The first PreSonus studio sub with Bluetooth 5.0 wireless audio, it streams reference mixes from a phone or laptop into your monitoring chain. Tuned to complement the Eris 3.5 through Eris Studio 5, it reaches down to 30 Hz so producers can make better-informed mix decisions.

Bluetooth 5.0 + Wired Flexibility in a Compact Cabinet

This model is the first PreSonus studio subwoofer to offer Bluetooth 5.0 wireless stereo input, making it easy to A-B reference mixes without re-patching cables. A continuously variable 50–130 Hz lowpass filter and a defeatable 80 Hz highpass filter let you dial in a clean crossover with the connected satellites. The vinyl-laminated MDF cabinet uses a front-firing slot-shaped bass reflex port, so it can sit close to a wall without choking the low end.

Low-Frequency Driver and Power Specs

The 8-inch woven glass-fiber composite driver pairs with a Class AB amplifier rated at 50 W RMS (100 W peak), giving enough headroom to reach 100 dB peak SPL at 1 meter. That combination delivers tight, controlled bass down to 30 Hz — deep enough to expose kick-drum weight and sub-bass problems before they reach mastering.

The rear panel carries balanced 6.3 mm TRS and unbalanced RCA main inputs, identical TRS/RCA pass-through outputs for satellite monitors, and a Bluetooth 5.0 pairing button. A polarity invert switch and a defeatable 80 Hz highpass filter on the outputs let you phase-align the sub with your mains and strip low-end from the satellites.

The lowpass filter sweeps from 50 Hz to 130 Hz, so you can hand off to your Eris 3.5 or any compact near-field at the exact frequency where it rolls off. The defeatable 80 Hz highpass filter prevents the low-end overlap that happens when subs and satellites share the same band. Protection circuits cover RF interference, output-current limiting, over-temperature, and a subsonic filter, plus a power-saver mode that engages after 40 minutes of silence.
