Carbon 8M is a desktop/rack-mountable 8-voice experimental synthesizer module that brings the full power of the Carbon 8 engine into a compact, keyboardless form factor. Two independent high-resolution digital oscillators each deliver 56 complex Digital Core waveforms across 18 digital algorithms and 38 wavetables, paired with 34 resonant filter types. Three LFOs, three envelope generators and 12 modulation slots provide extensive sound sculpting depth in a chassis measuring just 384 × 81 × 127 mm and weighing 2.1 kg.

Advanced Synthesis Engine

The same innovative oscillator and filter architecture found in the Carbon 8 keyboard instruments is fully present in Carbon 8M, making it an ideal studio centrepiece or modular companion. All 500 patch slots and the 3-slot FX engine with effects including Drive, Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Stereo Delay and Reverb are available.

Sequencer and Performance

A 512-note real-time/step sequencer and a 32-step programmable arpeggiator are built in, along with full MPE support for use with expressive external controllers. MODALapp integration enables software-based sound design, patch backup and firmware management from any connected device.

Connectivity

Carbon 8M provides USB, MIDI In/Out, dual mono line outputs, a headphone output and a stereo audio input, powered by a DC 9.0 V – 1.5 A centre-positive supply. Analogue clock sync In and Out ports enable tight integration with modular setups.
