The TX600 front-panel's features and EQ controls will be familiar to fans of Hartke's designs. You'll also find features such as a single-knob compressor that intuitively evens out your peaks or adds aggressive punch to a slap tone, an effects loop, and a Brite switch to further sculpt your ideal bass tone with the TX600. Placing a 12AX7 preamp tube in the circuit gives you the warmth and detail of a tube amp while remaining lightweight and maintenance free. Hartke also built a rugged carry handle right into the amp allowing you to carry your bass amp with one hand. The dimensions of the amp are 66 x 355 x 269 mm and the weight is only 3,2 kg.
