The Gamechanger Audio Light Pedal is the world's first analog optical spring reverb system. It pairs a three-spring mechanical reverb tank with infrared optical sensor pairs that capture overtones and harmonics lost by conventional pickups, delivering classic surf-style drip, modulated washes, and self-oscillating drones from one analog signal path.

Infrared Optical Sensor System and Six-Mode FX Engine

Infrared optical sensors positioned along the spring act as photoelectric pickups, unlocking longer decays, subharmonics, and overtones beyond standard transducer capture. The six-mode FX engine splits into optical effects (optics, sweep, trem) and mechanical effects (reflect, feedback, harmonic), stackable for combined textures.

Signal Flow and Connectivity — Mono Reverb Routing

The unit is a true analog mono pedal with a tip-sleeve 6.3 mm jack input and output, plus a separate expression input accepting TS and TRS expression pedals and CV signals up to 3.3 V.

Three mix controls set levels for the dry signal, the classic spring tank output, and the optical reverb signal. A tilt-EQ TONE knob shapes only the wet signal, while DRIVE controls how much signal reaches the spring exciter.
