- instructions for jazz interpretations for each song
- basics of stylization of chords according to chord others, improvisation on a given harmonic basis
The Czech composer E. Hradecký (* 1953) is the author of a number of instructive compositions for children and is often inspired by dance music and jazz. In this publication, he acquaints beginning pianists with the means of expression of jazz, not represented in the so-called classical music. It emphasizes specific phrasing (pronunciation) especially in the case of eighths and syncope. The first part of the album consists of nine simple etudes, followed by four songs for more experienced players and finally two blues, in which it is possible to find the basics of improvisation. All etudes are with instructions for long interpretation. Accompanying texts are printed in three languages.
