Boss GX-1 Gitarr Multi-effekt

Boss GX-1 — Pro-Grade Guitar Processing in a Compact Floor Unit

The Boss GX-1 is a compact floor-based guitar multi-effects processor built around AIRD amp modeling and algorithms inherited from the flagship GX-100. It packs 23 amplifier types and 146 effect types into a 1.2 kg chassis. The Boss GX-1 suits guitarists who want a single unit covering amp modeling, modulation, delay, reverb, and looper duties.

AIRD Modeling and Gear Suite Workflow

AIRD technology delivers authentic tube-amp response and touch. The Gear Suite feature recalls professionally tuned amp-and-effect parameters with one knob turn, while WAV speaker impulse response loading extends tonal options.

Signal Chain and Audio Quality

Audio quality is anchored by 24-bit AD conversion with Roland's AF method, 32-bit DA conversion, and 32-bit floating-point processing at 48 kHz. The 1 M ohm input preserves pickup detail.

• Sampling Rate: 48 kHz — full guitar range with headroom
• AD/DA Conversion: 24-bit AD + AF method / 32-bit DA
• Internal Processing: 32-bit floating point — prevents clipping
• Input: 1/4" TS jack, 1 M ohm impedance
• Outputs: 1/4" L/Mono + R, 3.5 mm TRS headphone — flexible routing

Effects Library and Real-Time Control

Eight simultaneous effect blocks plus a volume pedal and noise suppressor handle complex patches. Three assignable footswitches and an expression pedal with toe switch provide hands-free control across 99 preset and 99 user memory slots.

• Effects Library: 146 types across 8 simultaneous blocks
• Memory: 99 preset + 99 user — factory plus personal storage
• Footswitches: 3 assignable + expression pedal with toe switch
• Tuner: Internal, ±0.1 cent detection — heel-down access

Power Options and Studio Integration

Three power options — four AA batteries, a PSA-S AC adapter, or USB bus power — cover any playing scenario. USB-C handles DAW recording and editor communication, while Bluetooth streams backing tracks.

• Power: 4x AA / PSA-S AC adapter / USB bus power
• USB-C: Audio interface + MIDI over USB — direct DAW recording
• Wireless Expansion: FS-1-WL footswitch + EV-1-WL expression pedal
• Dimensions: 307 x 149 x 56 mm
• Weight: 1.2 kg
