AKG WMS40 Mini Instrumental Trådlöst system US45B: 661.1MHz

Wireless Freedom for Guitar and Bass Players

The AKG WMS40 Mini Instrumental US45B is a true plug-and-play wireless system built for guitarists, bassists, and instrumentalists who need reliable cable-free performance on small stages. Operating on a fixed UHF frequency of 661.1 MHz, this bodypack set delivers crystal clear audio across a 40 Hz to 20 kHz response that captures every nuance from low B-string bass to shimmering acoustic top-end. Working musicians will appreciate a no-fuss rig that goes from box to stage in under a minute.

Built for Plug-and-Play Reliability

What sets this system apart is its ultra-compact SR40 Mini receiver paired with a rugged PT40 Mini bodypack transmitter and the included MKG L instrument cable (mini XLR to 6.3 mm jack). The transmitter's gain control and noiseless on/off/mute switch let players fine-tune input levels silently between songs. Three status LEDs on the receiver (on/off, RF OK, AF CLIP) give instant visual feedback, while a switched mode power supply accepts any AC voltage from 110 to 240 V with EU, UK, and US adapters.

Wireless Performance and Signal Specs

Wireless performance is tuned for short-to-medium range live use, where stable signal and quick setup matter more than multi-channel flexibility.

• System: UHF — stable, professional-grade transmission with strong penetration through walls and crowds
• Frequency Band: 661.1 MHz — fixed single-channel operation eliminates frequency coordination headaches
• Frequency Range: 40 Hz – 20 kHz — full-range audio response that handles 5-string bass drops and bright acoustic pickups alike
• Radio range of 20–30 m gives comfortable coverage for club stages, pubs, and small worship venues.
• Desktop-friendly housing — not rackmountable, fits easily next to a pedalboard or amp

Ideal for Working Gigging Musicians

This wireless set is the right choice for guitarists and bassists who need a dependable rig for pubs, clubs, small theaters, churches, hotels, and gyms — anywhere a cable run is impractical or unsafe. Solo acoustic performers gain freedom to move around the stage, while bassists benefit from the wide 40 Hz to 20 kHz response that reproduces low B-strings cleanly. With 30 hours of runtime from a single AA battery and a universal power supply, an entire weekend of gigs fits in one pocket.
