SX SD304K Natural Matte Dreadnought-gitarr

Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with Sitka Spruce Top and Mahogany Back

The SX SD304K is a full-size dreadnought acoustic guitar built for players who want a balanced acoustic voice at an accessible price. Its classic dreadnought body projects strongly for strumming and fingerpicking. A natural matte finish keeps the look understated, while layered construction keeps the instrument stable through humidity changes. Our team designed this model for beginners and progressing players who need a reliable first or second acoustic.

What Sets This Model Apart in Its Class

Two details make this guitar stand out among entry-level dreadnoughts. The cutaway body gives clean access to upper frets, opening up lead lines and higher chord voicings. Die-cast 1:15 tuning machines hold pitch reliably, and the dual-action truss rod allows precise neck relief adjustments over time.

Tonewoods That Shape the Acoustic Voice

Sitka spruce is the industry standard for acoustic tops, delivering strong projection and clear note definition. Mahogany back and sides add warmth and a focused midrange, balancing the spruce's brightness. Layered construction makes the guitar more resistant to humidity swings.

• The top is made from Sitka Spruce, which provides strong projection and clear note articulation.
• Back & Sides: Mahogany — warm midrange focus and woody low end
• Layered body construction keeps the instrument stable through humidity swings

Neck Profile and Fingerboard for Comfortable Playing

Okoume is light and stable, finished in satin for a smooth feel. The Low C profile sits comfortably in the palm, and the engineered rosewood fingerboard provides a familiar surface with dot inlays. The cutaway and 20 jumbo frets give access high up the neck.

• Neck Material: Okoume — light weight with good stability
• Fingerboard: Engineered Rosewood — smooth feel under the fingers
• Scale length of 648 mm offers standard dreadnought string tension.
• Nut width of 43 mm fits most adult hands comfortably

Hardware and Setup for Reliable Performance

Die-cast 1:15 tuning machines give finer adjustments than open-gear designs, and the ABS nut and saddle keep string action consistent. Chrome hardware resists corrosion during long sessions. The guitar ships with 80/20 bronze strings in a light .011–.052 gauge.

• Tuners with a 1:15 ratio offer precise tuning and stable pitch.
• Nut & Saddle: ABS — consistent string action and clean tone
• Chrome hardware resists corrosion during long practice sessions

Who Should Choose the SX SD304K

This instrument is the right choice for beginners and intermediate players who want a dreadnought with a real-wood top, a cutaway, and a complete starter package. It suits self-taught players who need an instrument that holds tuning, students who need a reliable practice guitar, and songwriters who want a portable dreadnought for home recording. Players who prefer a gloss finish may want other models.
