Fender Squier Sonic Bronco Bass MN Arctic White 4-strängad basgitarr

Squier Sonic Bronco Bass MN Arctic White — Short-Scale Comfort With Classic Fender Tone

The Squier Sonic Bronco Bass MN Arctic White is a 4-string short-scale electric bass built to deliver iconic Fender style and inspiring tone at any playing stage. At a 762 mm scale length, this instrument shrinks fret reach and reduces string tension, making it inviting for beginners, younger players, and guitarists stepping over to bass. A slim "C"-shaped maple neck with a narrow 38.1 mm nut supports relaxed fretting, while a lightweight poplar body keeps the bass balanced. A Squier ceramic single-coil pickup delivers punchy, articulate voice for stage, rehearsal, or bedroom practice.

What Sets the Sonic Bronco Apart in the Short-Scale Category

The 4-saddle hardtail bridge allows each string to be intonated independently for accurate tuning across the fretboard. Sealed die-cast tuning machines provide smooth, accurate action that holds pitch reliably through long sessions, elevating the playing experience well beyond most entry-level short-scale basses in this segment.

Body and Neck Geometry — Built for Easy Playability

The poplar body and maple neck combination keeps the bass light and balanced, while the satin urethane neck finish reduces friction for fast position changes. A 241 mm fingerboard radius and 19 narrow-tall frets give the playing surface a modern feel.

• Body Material: Poplar — lightweight tonewood for extended playing comfort
• Neck Material: Maple — stable neck with a slim "C" profile
• Scale Length: 762 mm — short scale that reduces string tension and fret reach
• Nut Width: 38.1 mm — narrow nut suited to smaller hands and guitar-to-bass transitions

Electronics — Simple, Punchy, and Completely Passive

A single Squier ceramic single-coil pickup sits in the neck position, voiced in-house at Fender to produce fat, articulate tone with focused low end and pronounced upper-mid bite. The passive control layout keeps the signal path clean, with no batteries required.

• Pickup Configuration: S — single neck-position ceramic single-coil
• Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone — straightforward tone shaping with knurled flat-top knobs
• Preamp Electronics: Passive — true plug-and-play signal chain

Hardware and Setup — Ready to Play Out of the Box

Chrome hardware, a 4-saddle standard bridge, and sealed die-cast tuning machines combine to deliver stable performance and clean visual presentation. The included 4 mm hex truss rod wrench makes neck adjustments straightforward.

• Bridge: 4-Saddle Standard — independent intonation adjustment for each string
• Tuning Machines: Die-Cast Sealed — smooth action with reliable pitch stability
• Strings: Nickel Plated Steel (.045-.105 gauges) — balanced tension for the short scale
• Truss Rod Wrench: 4 mm Hex (Allen) included — quick neck relief adjustments at the headstock

Who the Squier Sonic Bronco Bass MN Arctic White Is For

The Squier Sonic Bronco Bass MN Arctic White is the right choice for beginners and developing players who want a comfortable short-scale bass with clear, punchy tone. Guitarists adding a bass to their rig will appreciate the 762 mm scale and narrow 38.1 mm nut, which feel closer to a guitar than a traditional long-scale instrument. Younger players benefit from reduced fret reach, while simple passive electronics keep the signal chain honest. Practicing, jamming, recording demos, and school band performances all fit this bass's intended use cases.

The Squier Sonic Series and the Bronco Heritage

The Squier Sonic Series offers iconic Fender style to players at any stage, with the Bronco Bass drawing on the heritage of Fender's original Music Master and Mustang-style short-scale designs. This model updates that legacy with a poplar body, modern 4-saddle bridge, and improved sealed die-cast tuners.
