With the new SY-300, you have amazing Roland / BOSS guitar synthesizer technology at your fingertips. To play our other guitar synthesizers, you need to have a GK pickup installed on your guitar. However, you can use the SY-300 with any guitar via a standard 1/4 "instrument cable. The SY-300 currently uses the fastest DSP system and the latest innovations from the BOSS workshop. It is an amazing synthesizer that plays without any delay. This allows you to expand the sound and the expressive potential of your playing for new sounds and no need to learn for new playing techniques - you can play everything as before.

Analogue style synthesizer for your guitar

The SY-300 has a powerful polyphonic synthesizer with three separate sections, which expands your sound arsenal with a number of amazing sounds. Like a keyboard with an analog classic, you now have complete freedom in creating sounds and a large range of parameters - choose from one of the various waveforms, adjust it with a filter and amplifier, modulate it with an LFO oscillator and stack individual sounds on top of each other. You can also use the step sequencer (with tap tempo control) and create dynamic melodies or arpeggios by playing one note on the guitar! With the dude Blender feature, you can instantly mix and adjust synthesizer settings to other Patches and quickly create inspiring new sounds.

Adjust the sound of your guitar with the synthesizer functions

In addition to playing amazing own sounds, the SY-300 can also process the sound of your guitar in various interesting ways. You can adjust the sound of the guitar with a filter and change its course over time (Attack / Decay) via the amplifier. You can still modulate the sound modified in this way with the LFO section, or "break up" with a step sequencer. All of these new features allow you to enrich the sound of your guitar with options and sound textures that couldn't be created by normal playing.

The new sounds include amazing effects

Effects play an important role in the sound design of a synthesizer. The new SY-300 is packed with effects that will blow your sound into the stratosphere. You can use 4 effects processors simultaneously. Each of them provides different types of effects, e.g. Overdrive and Distortion, Slow Gear, Isolator, Slicer and many more. Some types even contain two types of effects, e.g. Chorus + Delay or Delay + Reverb. You can apply the effects to the sound of a synthesizer, the sound of your guitar, or both - it's up to you.

Great control options and versatile connectivity

Controlling the SY-300 while playing is very simple. With four built-in pedal switches, you can turn on / off Bypass, toggle Patches, and control three different parameters (specified in Patch settings). If you need more options, you can connect two additional external pedal switches or the Expression pedal. The THRU output allows you to bypass the original sound of your guitar directly to the amplifier or use the effects loop in conjunction with the RETURN connector. Two pairs of output connectors (MAIN and SUB) allow the configuration of outputs for any use. MIDI IN and OUT / THRU connectors allow connection to Switchers, automatic drummers and other MIDI devices.

USB Interface for computers

The SY-300 is equipped with a USB audio converter, with which you can record your playing into a DAW program on your computer. You can record the sound of the SY-300 synthesizer and effects, or record the "pure" original guitar signal. You can then send this signal back to the SY-300, process it with a synthesizer, and create the perfect sound. You can also send other tracks from your SY-300 to the SY-300, process them with a synthesizer + effects, and create amazing new sounds. The SY-300 USB connection also allows you to save and manage your Patches in a special BOSS Tone Studio editor application, as well as obtain new Patches from the BOSS Tone Central website.
