Just really a great electric violin with a great sound. Only small downside is that there is no built in amp as in the Silent Violin series. On the plus side you can feel the strings vibrate as in an normal violin which is something that is completely lacking in the SV line. So in a direct comparison the YEV clearly is more fun to play but needs a good amplifier.
