Where the trail ends and the wilderness begins, that’s where the WILDERNESS XT TEXAPORE comes into its own. It has everything you’d expect from a classic trekking boot: a high, sturdy upper, durable materials, surefootedness and a very comfortable, precise fit. The boot provides good heel support, and there’s plenty of space in the toe area for when you’re walking downhill.
A waterproof and exceptionally breathable TEXAPORE O2+ membrane prevents water ingress and maintains a healthy foot climate.
The ASI mountain guides were impressed by the additional features of this technical mountain boot: the two-zone lacing system, the high traction outsole that delivers extremely good grip even on steep terrain, the good stability and support on via ferratas, and the all-round abrasion resistant toe cap that also protects the upper.

The GRIP SYSTEM PRIME is a highly effective hiking sole, and guarantees a high level of traction, even on challenging terrain.
Control Pad
CONTROL PAD offers optimum traction every step of the way. Stable and safe movement is guaranteed thanks to the EVA shell element at the sole’s heel.
Comfort Fit Prime
Shoes with COMFORT FIT PRIME have a precisely fitting heel and an anatomically shaped insole made of multi-layered cushioning materials, allowing the sole to encase the foot and providing support where it is needed.

The question always crops up during outdoor activities: what shoe construction is the best one for my particular activity? Each sole has its benefits, and it basically depends on the intended use.
B/C = Challenging treks in Alpine regions on difficult terrain (poorly maintained paths, dirt trails, scree).
Texapore O2+ (Waterproof membrane)
Our TEXAPORE technology is the functional core in our waterproof shoes. The shoes have a completely waterproof inner shoe enclosing the foot with our TEXAPORE membrane.
The advantages for the feet are obvious and may be clear: with rain or puddles of water, hiking and trekking shoes with TEXAPORE O2+ membrane are no problem at all. The good breathability of 6,700 g / 2 / 24h* also keeps feet dry and is therefore approximately twice as breathable as the TEXAPORE base membrane for shoes. With a water column of 10,000 mm*, TEXAPORE O2+ offers effective weather protection.
