M.C.A.® External tuning and control mechanism
This mechanism is an innovative and comfortable system that controls harmonics and tuning directly from above and from the outside, without the need for tools or access to the interior of the flamenco cajon. It is even possible to use it during the game, by simply moving it with one finger, preferably the thumb, because it develops better pressure and adapts better to the position taken.
M.C.A. it can be installed in different positions, just one in the middle, two on both sides, or one central and two on the sides. These mechanisms are completely independent of each other, which means separate sound settings. Control is very simple, just press the wheel and turn it to the right (loosen) or to the left (tighten). With this gesture, we tighten or loosen the inner strings and seek the desired balance.
