Professional Sound You don't need to be an expert to achieve professional results. VideoMic GO II does all the heavy lifting for you. Its high-directionality mechanical design, based on the VideoMic NTG model, delivers a rich, full sound that’s perfect for a wide range of recording situations. It’s a highly directional microphone that emphasizes sounds in the axis and reduces surrounding noises and interference. This means you get precise sound from what your camera, smartphone, or camera is aimed at (what’s in the frame), while external noise (outside the frame) is minimized.

Small, Simple, Handy VideoMic GO II weighs just 33 grams and is small and light enough to take anywhere. It is ideal for use with compact cameras, mobile recording devices, or as a USB microphone for high-quality sound recording on your desktop. It has no complicated controls or switches, and it doesn’t require batteries – just plug it in and start recording.

Universal VideoMic GO II is designed to meet the diverse needs of today’s content creators, offering universal compatibility with all your devices. You can use it with a camera, phone, as a desktop USB microphone for podcasting, gaming, livestreaming, or video calls. In USB mode, you can adjust the following via the RØDE Central app:

• Hi-Pass filter to remove low frequencies and noise
• High-frequency Boost – to enhance speech intelligibility
• Pad – attenuation for very loud sound sources

HELIX™ Shockmount – Vibration Isolation Basket HELIX™ is a new shockmount developed by the RØDE team specifically for the VideoMic GO II. Thanks to its innovative design, it provides excellent protection against shocks, vibrations, and typical handling noise that can cause unpleasant thumping and handling sounds in recordings. Compared to other models, it takes up less space, making your video setup both sleek and functional. The shockmount includes a camera and camera adapter, a thread for attaching to a boom, and practical cable-routing holes.

LED Overload Indicator Next to the USB-C connector, you'll find a red LED light that indicates a strong signal. This may cause audio distortion. If you see the LED flashing or solid, you should activate the Pad function via the RØDE Central app.
